Frak, that was good! How creepy was Hera when she said "bye, bye". So you think Athena will get a slap on the wrist for killing Six?
How intense was that Gaeta stuff? Do you think the singing means he's the 5th Cylon? I didn't recognize the lyrics and I'm too lazy to analyze them. I'll poke around some forums. I'm sure someone has already done the leg work (excuse the pun, Gaeta).
Oh, and Sam has gone bye-bye. He's got that crazy look in his eye.
So what made the hybrid jump? A prophecy being fulfilled?
So a few people on Galactica forums seem to think that Six (Natalie) was the dying leader. Interesting. I didn't get that connection, but it makes sense. Starbuck DID ask her if she was their leader. And a Six model was in the opera house.
"Do you think the singing means he's the 5th Cylon?"
The song reminded me of how the hybrid rambles/speaks about what's happening on the show without actually coming right out and saying it.
That final shot of Gaeta was pretty gut-wrenching. He's surely the final cylon if for no other reason than he has always been the most human character in the fleet.
"So what made the hybrid jump?"
The editing made it seem like the hybrid was reacting to the 6 being shot.
WOW! Good show. I was wondering how they were going to capture the President. I had known that she was going to be trapped on the base ship but I had no details as to how it would happen. I liked the end result better than what I was thinking.
I think the hybrid jumped because it was a reaction to the first attack by the other cylons. Before they un-plugged her in last weeks episode, Natalie said that she was damaged in the attack. Like a computer that needs to be reset, I think the hybrid yelled jump because that was the last thing she did prior to being damaged in the cylon attack.
I know many people are supposed to die this season but damn, I was hoping Natalie would have lasted a little longer than she did. It will be interesting to see what they do with Athena but I don't think they will do anything right now.
The dying leader stuff the hybrid was talking about had to do with Roslin. Chairman, what you heard about it possibly being Natalie, that's not true. More about this vision will be explained a little more before the mid-season break. I'm interested to see how they are going to pull off this co-op mission. Good to see Romo Lampkin will be back in the next episode. Why? I don't know. Is he still counseling Baltar?
Gaeta... I still think he's the 5th. Music seems to have a lot to do with this quest to find Earth and it seems all that hear music have that Earthly connection. It was music that activated the final four and they are now known to be from the 13th Tribe which is from Earth. Kara heard music just before she realized the comet was the damaged base ship in last weeks episode. Leoben said to Anders, "THE UNSTRUCK MUSIC VIBRATES IN ALL OF US. FEW CAN HEAR IT. KARA IS ONE OF THE FEW." Again Kara has been to Earth. She took photos of it before she blacked out and returned to the fleet. So here again music comes into play with a person connected to Earth in some way. So now that Gaeta is singing... Gaeta is also connected to Earth because Gaeta is the 5th.
OK, despite that I loved the super creepy episode, lets talk plot holes.
Hello Centurions on board base star and they think for themselves and are shown to not always take command anymore... so why the hell would they let the entire BSG marine force take over the basestar. B.S.
Hera's blood was the deux ex machina to fixing Roslyn's cancer, why can't they do it again?
I had another problem, but I'll bring it up if I remember it.
Let's not forget that Baltar, Kara and Roslyn still are the most likely candidates for the 5th despite "spoilers". Baltar sees projections and Roslyn shares visions with 2 cylons and Kara sees projections and came back from the dead and can feel earth.
It starting to look like to me the end game is, guess what you're all different cylons, you just didn't know it and you've been killing each other because you thought you were different, but you know what, you're all fundamentally the same.
One thing I'm confused by, are the vipers on the basestar. I thought the plan was to put the vipers on the basestar and have the basestar jump to the hub. Did the plan get that far? That would have been awesome, leaving the fleet completely defenseless and taking Roslyn.
Was Natalie going to stall or was she going to rat out 8 and Leoban? My impression was Leoban and 8 were committed and didn't want to change the plan.
Can't wait to see how the 4 react to unboxing D'Anna!
Silas, the Centurions were supposed to let the Colonials on board the Basestar and then after the mission and once D'Anna was un-boxed, take the Colonials on board as hostages. However Leoben was going to talk them out of it (don't know if he did) and Natalie was to go and stall with Adama.
I agree, why can't they use Hera's blood to cure Roslin again? Maybe to fulfill the prophecy of the dying leader?
I really don't think Baltar, Kara or Roslin is the 5th. Sure they see projections but none of the other four final Cylons do, so why should the 5th be any different?
The Vipers are on the Basestar so they can sneak them in to destroy the Resurrection Hub. However that mission hasn't happened yet.
It almost seems that the four and especially Tigh, doesn't want D'Anna to be un-boxed and risk being found out that they too are Cylons. These last three episodes before the break should be very interesting.
GaetaIsThe5th: I beg you not to reveal anything you see in previews, nor confirm/deny our speculation with spoilers you've read online. I damn near pulled a hammy diving out of my computer chair trying to avert my eyes after reading one of your earlier posts...
Silas: Was Hera born yet when they used her blood to save Rosilyn? I thought the process that Baltar used to save Rosilyn had something to do with the baby still being in the womb. Kinda like when Nurse Ogawa's amniotic fluid saved the Enterprise crew from de-evolving...
shunanimous, I never reveal any spoilers I read online, I know better than that. I only state what was mentioned in the episodes that have already aired. There are tons of clues hidden within the scripts of each show. The only way to understand and absorb them is to watch the episode a couple of times and while muted so you can read what is actually being said. However what the chairman was talking about was my mention of Romo Lampkin, which was shown in the previews after last Friday's episode. I forgot that the chairman doesn't watch the previews, so I will not mention anything from the previews anymore.

Here's a link to the lyrics of Gaeta's lament...

Yep. He'll be under Baltar's spell in no time...

Yeah, the "RL" reference was what I was talking about. I actually took a few days before I came back to read the rest of the posts. No big.
