So Claire must be dead, right? Did she die when her cabin exploded? She looked pretty happy to be dead.
I'm sure most of us weren't surprised to see Christian Shepherd in the cabin. But he's not Jacob. I wonder who is.
So Richard Alpert has been after John since he was born. Weird. And are Alpert and Richard Abaddon on the same side? It seems that way. But Abaddon sent Widmore's boat to the island. Did Alpert and Abaddon go to different sides in some kind of civil war over the island? Very confusing.
Move the island. That should be interesting.
So who's left on the boat? Is it just Desmond and Michael? Do the commandos figure that since the engines don't work, they can't escape?
I think I've figured out why only 6 get off the island. Sayid makes it to shore, grabs the rest of the Oceanic 6 and heads to the boat. They make it safely, but when Sayid goes back for the rest, the island is gone. Locke moved it. Sayid goes back to the boat, they either repair it, or since the island is no longer shielding them, they are spotted and rescued. Desmond and Michael claim to be part of the crew.
if clare died when her cabin exploded, who was carrying her baby around the jungle?
is clair's baby (aaron) jacob? is that why he can't be in the cabin?
alpert & abaddon = opposing forces, light and dark (literal and figuritive).
move the island where? across space on the globe? through time? both?
you theory about the oceanic 6 seems dead on. but why, when the oceanic 6 get back to america, are they compelled to keep everything a secret? what are they protecting? i had assumed they were protecting the people who stayed behind, but who knows.
so you think desmond gets off the island? maybe penny gets to the island, and desmond has to go back to rescue her (next season)?
was it just me, or did the boat captain remind you of charlie?
alpert is traveling through time, yes? at this point it seems more likely than his being an immortal. the scene with alpert and young locke was weird. i think locke chose the correct item, his knife from the future.
The whole Claire thing makes me mad... but maybe that's why Miles was so spooked by her, because she was dead or dying. Maybe the island protected her from the blast...
The 6 on the previews arrive to the states in a vehicle we haven't see before so I'm guessing your theory is wrong. I think something we don't know will come into play. I still like to believe that its not by choice but rather circumstance that brings the 6 off the island. and by "choice" I think its more like Sawyer decides to go look for Claire or something which is his "choice" rather then being where he could be saved.
By the previews, if Desmond and Michael do make it off alive, its gotta be through some seperate means then the 6 is my guess.
I dont think alpert is time travelling. They already established that the pregnant woman scans that Juliet was looking at in the Portland episode was 90, so why can't alpert be timeless.
The knife scene seems weird. Couldn't the knife be his from the future? It seems like all of those objects could have been his, but alpert was trying to discern the path he would choose and he chose the knife which alpert rejected. I like how now we have the mystery of who is Locke's dad.
Isn't Horace one of the two founders of Dharma? Guess he's been dead for 12 years. What about his wife?
So whats up with the doctor? They are definitely alluding to some weird time anomalies. The doctor definitely washed ashore before he actually got his throat slit. Maybe desmond and michael will get stuck in a time warp next season and they'll end up in a bad Rocky Horror remake.
Oh, and do you think the island has moved before? That's why there was a "sickness" similar to what the freighter folks are experiencing because they traveled through what surrounds the island.
So my sister-in-law thinks that Aaron will be the next "keeper of the island" after Locke. They we're after Locke as a baby, and that's why they want Aaron. But why did they want Walt? Did they "think" he was the next one, or is he special for some other reason. Maybe Walt is (literally) the black, and Aaron is the white... like Richard Alpert and Matthew Abbadon.
Richard time travelling... that's interesting. If so, he's really making the rounds. It also would make him quite the puppet master... pulling all of these strings and manipulating events.
Is there a mystery about the identity of Locke's father? Why can't it still be the con artist who stole his kidney? Or did i miss something?
I guess it could just be the con artist, but then why wouldn't you just come out and say that, why make it all mysterious.
I wouldn't put it past his "dad" to have lied to get his kidney. He certainly didn't know about the island. I guess Alpert's appearance just makes me think the father has something to do with the island, but then again, maybe not.
I'm not sure if the parents have anything to do with the child (Locke, Aaron) being connected to the island. It seems to me that somehow part of Jacob is being reborn into these children. That's why Richard asks little Johnny Locke "which of these objects already belong to you".
My assumption is Time Travel is involved and older Locke already exists in the same time as child Locke because he moved the island back in time or something.
The knife totally could be Locke's right? He's associated to knives all the time.
Maybe the goal was never to get child Locke to the school but to rather just confirm that he does exist in that time period.
My guess now is Alpert isn't timeless but rather traveling through time.

agreed.
so if there IS time traveling happening, could John's dad be somebody we already know on the island? alpert? aaron?
