How good is this show? They have me so invested in the characters that I was giddy like a school girl when Kate popped out of the shower.

"He made his choice. He chose to stay. I'm the one who came back."

So Sawyer chose to stay on the island? What promise did Kate make to Sawyer? Who was she talking to on the phone? Was the promise to check in on someone? She couldn't have been talking to Sawyer, could she? Whoever she was talking to probably knows Jack. Kate said "I have to go, Jack is home", rather than "I have to go, my boyfriend is home."

So wasn't there some kind of warning early on by a psychic that Aaron should NOT be raised by another? Am I remembering that right? So the "island" WANTS Aaron to be raised by another? Is this the first time two people have witnessed the same "hallucination" (Jack's Dad)? Is this also the first definite confirmation that Jack's Dad is also Claire's Dad? I forget if that is fact, or just so obvious that we all took it as fact.

What was the point of the appendicitis if not an excuse to get Jack off the island? Will there be complications?

What did Jack mean when he said "I saved you" to Kate? Has that happened yet? He's probably saved her a zillion times, but I got the feeling he meant something that hasn't happened yet.

So the boat has stopped transmitting. I guess whatever incident caused the Doctor to get his throat cut is going down now.

Lots of questions. I'm usually full of theories, but I got nuthin.

By the way, I thought I heard Silas screaming obscenities when they found Danielle's body. Sorry about that buddy.

If you think Silas is upset, wait 'till Lennier finds out! Cheer up, Silas. There's always flashbacks and ghostly visitations!

Kristi's reaction was: "What the hell's going on? Time travel AND ghosts? (pause) I love this show."

It's not the nonlinear story telling throwing me off, it's the large gaps of time where the show doesn't air. Every week Kris and I sit here trying to remember stuff we figured out 2 seasons ago. But we're too spoiler-shy to go online for refreshers.

I had a theory about the relevance of Jack's dad's name being "Christian Shepherd," and how he was the missing piece linking everybody in season 1, but damned if I can remember it.

There was a scene where a psychic insisted that Clair had to raise the baby, and he manipulated her to be on Flight 815. But I think the island is pissed that Clair ISN'T raising him, that's why its sending ghosts/visions to the Oceanic Six...to bring him back.

I thought John might have seen Jack's dad in Jacob's cabin...or maybe that was Hurley...not really sure.

I don't think Jack's saving Kate has happend on screen yet.

I think the favor Kate does for Sawyer involves that chick he dicked over but fell in love with (who Kate actually met in a subsequent flashback)...Nadine? What was her name...?

I love this show. There are so many strong characters and interesting sub-plots. Even the newbies (Miles, Prof, Red) are great.

"F'n A-rod."

Here's something I just thought of: Aaron's biological father was an artist. In the episode where Clair flashes back to him, we see one of his paintings in the background. This is in season 1, I think. In season 2, that same painting is on the wall in the hatch with Desomond. I can't actually remember what it was a painting of... BUT, I bring this up because there was a scene tonight, during the flash foward at Jack's house, where there's an odd painting in the background. The camera has it completely in focus, and it's as prominent on screen as Jack and Kate in the foreground. Just struck me as odd, is all...

Nice catch on that painting. I read all of the forums and theories on this show and I've never heard mention of this painting before. I'll have to go back and watch that scene again.

So if the island is pissed that Claire is not raising the baby, why does the island (in the form of Christian Shepherd) separate Claire from her baby?

I agree about the strong supporting players. This is the way to introduce new characters, rather than that Nikki/Paulo debacle.

By the way, for those of you that don't read the forums, people are still claiming that Rousseau is alive, despite seeing a body. Another testament to how strong the supporting players are.

Remember when Rose thought it was strange that Jack would get injured, since the island heals people? Did Jack do something to anger the island? Did he kill someone in cold blood last season? I can't remember.

I was pretty bored by this episode. The only part I like is revealing Charlotte knowing Korean.

My read was that Jack is determined to get people off the island which the island doesn't want therefore appendix problems.

The whole leaving the baby behind was so unbelievable to me despite seeing ghost daddy.

My guess... Faraday took something else from the lab... watch for it.

Last time I checked I didn't think clanozopan was that addictive, but maybe it is, combined with alcohol. Its an anti anxiety medication.

Yes, I'm so sad Danielle is really dead. Boo. Miles wouldn't have heard her if she wasn't dead.

Yeah, i was talking with my wife about Claire abandoning the baby. What could daddy have possibly said that would make her do that? However, so far, these guys are pretty good at keeping everyone in character (Locke's knucklehead phase not withstanding), so maybe it's as simple as she didn't go with him willingly.

I watched the episode a second time and STILL didn't see that painting. Someone told me it was in the hallway scene with Jack and Kate. I can't imagine what's distracting me so much that I can't focus on the background in that scene.

Kate = hot

Not saying that the painting in this last episode is relevant to anything other than jarring my memory of that season 2 coincidence...but maybe there's something there...
