Awesome episode! I forgot to check who the writer was, but he nailed everything.
Hiro's solution to "killing" Ando was brilliant. I was thinking about it all week, and couldn't figure out how he was going to get out of that one. I think I was blinded by hate.
The time travel gags with the shovel were great too. I laughed out loud at both of them. And it also served as a reinforcement of why Hiro should never go back in time. I don't like that particular "crutch", but at least they are doing their best to have it make sense.
Man, so I love the actor playing Mr. Petrelli. He underplays everything (as opposed to Malcolm McDowell who hams it all up... but I love him too). It makes perfect sense that the father of a guy who can mimic powers has the ability to steal powers. When he sucked out Adam's healing ability, i didn't understand what was happening. i thought he was just draining the life force from people. But when he stole Peter's powers, it made sense. Also, it's a great way to save the Peter character, who was becoming WAY too powerful. Now they just need to resist giving him back his full powers at the end of the season.
The Mohinder stuff was good this week. Tracy (is that her name?)using her freeze powers to escape was great (although I saw it coming a mile away. How stupid is Mohinder?).
The stuff with the Puppeteer was great too. Again, I knew how the russian roulette scene was going to play out, but it was done perfectly. Very creepy.
What did I miss? Speedster was great. Sylar's transformation is an interesting angle, and the only way to save that character.I just hope that no one embraces him too quickly, if at all. Peter's reaction to him was perfect. They should treat Sylar like they treated Crais on Farscape (spoilers). Team up with him out of necessity, but never fully accept him. Sylar's final redemption should come when he sacrafice's his own life to save someone (HRG?) in next season's finale.
(sigh)
Since you said "awesome epsiode," I guess I'll watch this one.
Speaking of Farscape: We're on our fifth month of trying to get through season 4. It's heartbreakingly awful.
That season of Farscape is so bad that I didn't even bother to copy it. It wasn't worth the $2.50. It really is heartbreaking. Same can be said for the Peacekeeper Wars movie/miniseries that follows.
