Adama continues with his plan to use Cylon drive technology on Colonial ships. The closer ties between the rebel Cylons and the humans sets off a violent uprising in the fleet.
Frak me! I'm still shaking with adrenaline. I'm not kidding. That may have been the best hour of TV I've ever seen. Hands down, the best cliffhanger. Gaeta needs to die a fiery death. Semper Frakin' Fi.
Kara in the hanger...Starbuck still rocks. And Adama was frakking badass. AND I thought Anders was a goner.
This season feels like its been 10 episodes already. They really set a tone with Dee's suicide. Now, when the shite hits the fan, you know anyone could go.
I enjoyed the new, embittered Gaeta...but yeah, he's a dead man walking.
WTF!! That show was AWESOME!! OK, well now we know that the webisodes came before what we are now seeing. Gaeta did warn Hoshi at the end of the webisodes that something was going to happen and to keep his head down. Now we know what Gaeta meant.
You know I read the interviews and watch podcasts from the show writers, directors and producers, namely Ron Moore. One thing that I remember (and this is not a spoiler) is that every one including the cast members were saying that life aboard Galactica during Season 4.5 is going to be very bad and many people are going to be shot and killed, including members of the main cast. But in none of the interviews did anyone hint as to who they were. I have a strong feeling that someone major is going to die in this coming Friday's show. I thought it was going to be during this past show but after seeing how that show ended, I feel some one is going to get killed off next week. We have 7 more shows left until the end.
Racetrack?! I didn't think she would have sided with Gaeta. And I think monsteratomic is right, Hoshi may turn against his relationship with Gaeta because of this whole treason thing. I just think Hoshi honors the uniform and what it stands for more than Gaeta and that is why I think he will not back Felix on this one. Besides, Felix Gaeta's days are numbered. If Adama survives this latest gun-fight and takes back control of the ship, Gaeta is a dead-man!
So I wonder when Ellen will make her return to the show as the 5th cylon. Many writers are saying she will have a lot of answers to many of the questions the fans have about the show.
Actually, I was the one that said Gaeta/Hoshi would end in blood. I thought Monsteratomic had said he didn't think they would include anything about their relationship on the show (but would be impressed if they did).
Watching this episode for the second time today, I wonder if there's more to the "secret" between Baltar & Gaeta. Did they frak? Probably not. I used to have a theory that Felix, after discovering the Tigh/Torrey plot to rig the election for Rosalyn at the end of season 2, re-rigged the election for Baltar b/c he desperately wanted to settle on the planet. But then they never addressed it, so I dismissed it. It would be GREAT if that was their secret...
I was saying to Kristi last night that it would be cool if Adama lost the ship, and all the main characters (final five, Helo, Adamas, Rosalyn) had to live on the cylon ship, fleeing from Cavil AND a colonial fleet led by fanatical "pure blood" humans.
I'm also thinking the scene in Rosalyn's vision, where Lee & Kara & Bill are at her bedside, is going to come true. And then at some point Bill Adama goes down with the ship protecting the remaining cylon/human coalition (led by President Lee Adama).
And yeah, Ellen has to show up with a crapload of answers. But from where? Will Tigh get killed, and regenerate to join a healthy Ellen? Does Ellen know who has been manipulating Baltar & Caprica Six with those in-head visions?
When Cavil eventually shows up, will Anders end up being "special" (despite what he thinks/says to the contrary) because the centurions will obey him, or at least not attack him (like when the one raider scanned him in the first episode)?
I'm glad Chief was able to get back on good terms with his friends. He's my favorite character, and I was concerned when he was going through that bald, drunk, and violent phase.
Also, as somebody who avoids other message boards, writer/actor interviews, and even scenes from next week, I ask that ya'll PLEASE refrain from sharing that info here, lest I have to avoid this site as well. I love theories, but I'd rather be wrong about something and not know it than have anything be confirmed by a leaky cast member or dissected preview. I'm pure, baby!
When that shuttle was heading for the Cylon ship at the end of the episode, I had a feeling they were never coming back. I'm not sure how Adama and Tigh are going to escape, but maybe Starbuck and Apollo will free the captives in the brig at the same time Adama and Tigh arrive there (assuming they both survive.
No matter how hard I try to avoid spoilers, someone always slips. I know it's not intentional... they just don't realize that ANYTHING the writers, producers or actors say is a spoiler to me. I don't even want to know who's appearing in next week's episode. I know I come off like a maniac, but the element of TOTAL surprise makes it so much more enjoyable. For example, I had no idea there was going to be a mutiny tonight... not to this extent. If I had known, this episode would have had an entirely different impact on me. This episode was complete and total shock. But if I had read the TV Guide desription, I would have seen the word "mutiny". Okay, I'm droning on. Maybe I'll delete this post.
God this show is so dark... I love how vulnerable everyone was towards the end of the episode. I'm surprised that the mutineers left any cylons alive, what a mistake. I want some uber super strength pregnant six to kick some ass next episode.
I have no idea how this can possibly resolve, but since the show is called BSG, I can't believe we would go into the final 6 episodes without Galactica. I still say Cavil or Ellen shows up to end the conflict.
It looks like we're deliberately not showing Hoshi as Gaeta's lover. I wonder if the webisodes and their relationship were done as an after thought, much like cain and natalie.
They should have had a Hot Dog V Chief. Hot Dog could have been pro-mutiny and Chief handed his "son" over to him in the last ep and now he wants him back...
FRAKKING GOOD SHOW!!! What is Sci Fi going to do once Galactica is off the air? I don't see any other show on that network that I would mildly want to watch.
Mr. Gaeta needs to die and I hope Hoshi is involved in that event in some way. I wonder if Gaeta's involvement with the Eight on New Caprica, which was revealed in the webisodes and which Baltar knows about, will play into Gaeta's downfall. Perhaps those who are sided with Gaeta will turn on him if they knew he was responsible for the death of many on New Caprica. I think those events have to come out sooner or later.
Yes I agree with shunanimous, it's nice to see Chief Tyrol back in the good-graces with his crew mates Lee, Adama, Kara,... instead of that bald-head-anger phase he was going through.
I don't think it was made clear enough but did Roslyn's raptor fly to the rebel baseship after escaping Galactica? I don't see where else she could go in the fleet. And I'm sure Zarek's days are numbered too. I think Roslyn is going to re-establish herself as President and then hand it over to Lee Adama. I hope both Gaeta and Zarek get killed off but a painful death not something so un-gratifying as being air-locked. I used to like Gaeta (hence my username) but now I think he is a PRICK!
"What is Sci Fi going to do once Galactica is off the air?"
Mansquito, The Series?
If they're smart, they'll pour all their resources into Caprica.
I was thinking...sure Gaeta & Zarek are gonna get whacked. But this mutiny/revolution was pretty systemic on Galactica. And it was bitterly personal. Adama even said their would be "no amnesty" for collaborators. So who runs and protects the ship when this is sorted out? How many Viper pilots will be left?

Wow.
That was insane.

This show is ruining all other dramas for me.
I'm babbling.
